What do I like best about this 1957 Volkswagen? (Besides its shape, of course. Who in his right mind doesn’t love an old Beetle?) I really like the paint job on this one — both the color choice and the obvious workmanship that went into it. Regular readers of this spot probably know my proclivity for showroom stock classics… but that’s not to say that I don’t appreciate the work that goes into cars like this one, which was spotted and photographed in the fall of 2020 by RealRides reader (and ex-WNYer) Rick Lapp down in his neck of the woods — Danville, Pennsylvania, to be more precise, parked outside of the Old Forge Brew Pub. If you’re wondering where Danville is, you can find it just south of Mausdale. You’re welcome.
