The 1974-76 Ford Thunderbird was the last of the Big Birds before the 1977 downsizing occurred. I’m going to assume that this one has a matching green vinyl top, as the vinyl top color on these cars usually matched the insert color on the side trim. For 1974 Ford offered four different green paint choices: Emerald Starfire (which was an extra-cost color); Dark Yellow Green Metallic, Light Green Gold Metallic, and Light Green. In addition to green, vinyl roofs were available in: black, white, blue, silver blue, brown, tan, gold, red, and copper. It wouldn’t totally surprise me if today’s RealRide, seen a month or so ago in North Tonawanda, also had a matching medium green interior, which could be had in the standard Aurora Cloth & Vinyl, as well as optional Picton Velour Cloth & Vinyl, Super Soft Vinyl, [or] Leather Seating & Vinyl Trim.
