We spotted this c1949 Ford F-6 nine years ago in downtown Buffalo, acting as a portable sign-holder in the parking lot of the Buffalo Transportation Pierce-Arrow Museum. It’s showing a bit of metal perforation here and there, but for a 70-something-year-old work truck — not so bad! Ford told us their 1949 “Bonus Built” trucks were “Business You Can Bank On!” Available with either a 226cid 95-hp six or a 239cid 100-hp V8, the F-6 came in wheelbases of 134 and 158 inches, with bed lengths of nine and 12 feet, respectively.
