By the time this 1974 Plymouth Fury Gran Sedan hit the showrooms, badge-engineering had gotten to the point where it was hard to tell from a block away if you were looking at a Plymouth or a Dodge (see below). The Fury Gran Sedan/Coupe sat atop the full-size Plymouth lineup for 1974, above the Fury I, II, and III, which were still around but wouldn’t be for long. Model year 1975 would see the Fury name replacing the Satellite moniker in the mid-size lineup, while the big cars would be called Gran Fury (with Custom and Brougham sub-series models). Just to be clear, this top-of-the-line ’74 is a Fury Gran (Sedan) while the equivalent ’75 model would be the Gran Fury (Brougham). Came across this Gran Sedan (which is actually a four-door hardtop) back in 2012 in a Niagara Falls driveway.
