RealRides of WNY- 1977 Eldorado

The sun was playing tricks when I came across this 1977 Cadillac Eldorado last summer in a Buffalo parking lot. I’m sure I knew what color it was that day, but looking at the photos again all these months later I’m not sure if it was gray or silver. Or maybe blue. Looking at the paint chart (inset) doesn’t help at all. At any rate, like a few Eldos of the period that I’ve seen, this one’s missing one of the front upper bumper extensions. Luckily its four plastic fender extensions/bumper fillers all seem to be intact — another sore point on many big GM cars from the era (see the ’77 Sedan de Ville below). Stuff like this will certainly make it harder to restore these cars as the years go on.
