RealRides of WNY - 1963 Falcon

Early advertising touts the fact that there were two versions of the 1963 Ford Falcon Futura convertible — the base Futura and the Futura Sports convertible, the latter of which came standard with front bucket seats and a center console like today’s feature ride. Partway through the model year the advertising reflected a new model: the Falcon Sprint, which was offered in two-door hardtop and convertible body styles. Standard on the Sprint was a 260cid V8, special trim, wire wheelcovers, tach, simulated woodgrain steering wheel, and a unique muffler & air cleaner. We saw today’s RealRide at a weekly cruise night in North Tonawanda at the Wurlitzer Building last summer.
