No, it’s not unusual to see a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air at a local cruise night. But IMO it’s rare to see a Bel Air Sport Sedan (not to mention one which still looks showroom stock), the hot new four-door hardtop body style which was introduced in the Chevy lineup for MY 1956. Most manufacturers had a specific name for their version of the Sport Sedan: Pontiac (Catalina), Olds (Holiday), Buick (Riviera), Ford (Victoria), and Mercury (Phaeton) come immediately to mind. Many of them eventually evolved into complete series. We saw this one at a recent cruise night at the Wurlitzer Building in North Tonawanda.
