It doesn’t seem like that long ago when we came across this mostly intact 1965 Chevrolet Impala sitting out front of a garage in Batavia. I’m sure that alert readers will probably zoom in on those gas prices at the station next door. But don’t everybody rush over there, as it was a little over a year ago when we drove by. The Impala was of course the top-selling nameplate in the U.S. for years — Chevy sold over 800,000 of them for 1965. Add in the Biscayne and Bel Air sales (about 145,000 and 271,400 respectively) and it’s no wonder you still see so many full-size ’65 Chevys out there.
