(Day 1 of GMWeek)
When you look at the size of this 1976 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency, seen over the summer in Tonawanda, it’s not too difficult to figure out why General Motors decided to downsize its big cars the following year. But — for 1976 they were still full-in to bigger-and-better. Which led to some creative brochure copy: “Yet for all its size and splendors, a 98 Regency is a very responsive road car. Its ease of maneuverability, in fact, may well surprise you.” Lol, I doubt it.
