(Day 2 of GMWeek)
This 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, found a few weeks ago in Tonawanda, has all of the trappings of the era’s high-performance pony cars: big graphics, petroleum-based spoilers, big hood scoop, t-top roof… yet it all seems to work well here on Pontiac’s version of the Chevy Camaro. While I don’t usually go for this kind of stuff, even I’ll admit this car still looks good 37 years later. Unfortunately, for me anyway, it all started going downhill with the 1982 restyle. The final ‘Birds were the 2002s.
