(Independents Week continues…) The badge on the trunk of this 1950 Packard Eight Touring Sedan announces to the world that it’s equipped with Ultramatic Drive, the automatic transmission of which Packard boasted in their advertising “Born of a 16-year research and development program. Backed by $7,000,000 in new manufacturing facilities…” Apparently back in 1950 seven mil was a lot of dough! The Ultramatic was available, we were also told, at moderate extra cost on all models. Saw this one last summer in Niagara Falls. Jim Corbran, RRofWNY The post RealRides Of WNY appeared first on Buffalo Cars.
