(Day 3 of A Week of 1968s…)
Hard to imagine now, but back in the day full-sized cars like this 1968 Chevy Impala could be pretty hot. Especially if they came with a 385-hp Turbo-Jet 427. Old-school drivers could specify a three-speed manual (special duty version), while the more adventurous (a.k.a. less stingy) type could go with a four-on-the-floor or Turbo Hydra-Matic three-speed automatic. The fender badge on this red convertible, seen last summer in Blasdell, seems to indicate a much more tame 307 under the hood.
