RealRides of WNY

(Day 5 of Orphans Week…) Here is a well-optioned 1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe Club Coupe, seen a few summers ago on Grand Island. It’s wearing newer whitewalls and what appear to be 1957 Plymouth wheel covers, along with window visors, outside rearview mirrors, and rear fender stone shields. The brochure lists the transmission as having “remote control manual operation on steering column under wheel.” I guess this was Plymouth’s fancy way of telling you that you didn’t have to go under the car and manually change the gears by hand, Lol.
