If ever I were to buy a vintage German luxury convertible (don’t hold your breath), something like this blue 1983 Mercedes-Benz 380 SL just might fill the bill. I’ve always liked the styling of these things, and the size is just right for top-down cruising. I wouldn’t mind though, if that chintzy-looking plastic rear window could be replaced by a glass unit. But, then again, if I ever buy a convertible, it would be for fair-weather driving only, so I might never see the top anyway. This one was seen in an Amherst parking lot.
