This Ford Courier box truck, c1980, can be seen regularly parked behind a Tonawanda business. The Courier, manufactured by Mazda (based on their own B-Series truck), was Ford’s placeholder until they brought out their own compact pickup, the Ranger, for 1983. Although the Mazda-based Courier was available only in North America (while B-Series trucks were sold ‘round the world), the Courier name was also used on a small Fiesta-based pickup sold by Ford Brasil from 1998-2013.
