Showing you how my mind works, when I was a paperboy for The Buffalo Evening News back in the day, I remember one of my customers having a 1963 Buick Wildcat similar to this one — although it was a silver two-door with a black vinyl top. Yet, I can’t remember what I had (or even if I had anything) for breakfast this morning! The Wildcat started life in 1962 as a sub-series of the Invicta lineup, most likely in response to Pontiac’s Grand Prix. For 1963 it became its own nameplate and added a convertible and a four-door hardtop; in ’64 they added a four-door sedan — so much for Buick’s full-sized sporty nameplate! This red & white specimen can still be seen from time-to-time in Niagara Falls.
