Came across this nifty little 1992 Toyota pickup during a recent trip to Reuse Action, a fascinating used/surplus/reclaimed building materials supplier on Buffalo’s East Side.
You’ve gotta love these little trucks. With a bed long enough for most weekend home projects, and the thrift and reliability of a Toyota four-cylinder engine under the hood, it’s a shame there aren’t more trucks like this in today’s marketplace. Buying a new, full-sized pickup today is akin to taking out a mortgage. Who pays fifty grand for a truck which gets used as the family car? Not me, that’s for sure, but I could see myself in one of these. (And yes, I know Toyota still sells the Tacoma, but it’s not quite as charming.)
