This 1971 Ford Pinto is owned by RealRides reader Phil Reynders of North Tonawanda. He’s the car’s third owner, which is remarkable for a 46-year-old car. The Medium Yellow Gold sedan (as opposed to the hatchback Runabout model) was purchased new at Kenmore Ford and remains nearly rust-free — pretty good for spending its whole life in WNY. As Phil (or, Phinto, as he’s often known) will testify, it just may be due to the gobs of Ziebart rustproofing goop he spent hours scraping off after purchasing the car in 2004. Difficult to find such an original-looking Pinto nowadays. Very nice!
