Day 2 of “Parked But Hopefully Not Forgotten” week…
This 1958 Edsel has been lurking in the bushes of Cambria for a while now, not visible to passing traffic until the fall season rolls around. This one is a Ford-based model, either a Ranger or a Pacer; slightly bigger, more upscale Corsair and Citation models were based on the Mercury. If you find this confusing, I imagine buyers felt the same way in the fall of 1957 when these cars made their debut. The public’s yawns were deafening.
