RealRides of WNY - 1960 Buick Invicta

Day 3 of Car Show week…

Saw this gorgeous 1960 Buick Invicta at last summer’s 14th Annual Alden Auto Show. The Invicta was new for 1959, essentially replacing the Super line, just above the (also new) LeSabre and below the Electra & Electra 225. Buick went on a total renaming spree in 1959 dropping the venerable Special, Super, Century, Roadmaster, and Limited nameplates (some of which would reappear down the road). The Invicta is a relatively rare bird, lasting only through the 1963 model year where it had been pared down to a single station wagon body style.
