Day 5 of Oldsmobile week…
This compact 1962 Oldsmobile F-85 Deluxe doesn’t look so small these days, but back then it was quite a contrast to the full-sized sedans in most North American driveways. Owner Dave Purcer of Niagara Falls, Ontario was showing it proudly at last week’s first Cruisin’ On The Q car show of the season on Queen Street. All 1962 F-85s came standard with Olds’ 215 cu. in. aluminum V-8, a pretty sophisticated engine for the time. Dave’s car is unrestored, and he’s happily owned and driven it for 15 years.
