When RealRides reader Don Kaufman wrote in to tell us about his 1963 Studebaker Avanti, we got in the RealRidesmobile and headed up to Lockport. An eBay purchase, he’s owned it now for about ten years. This one is an R1 — no supercharger — but that doesn’t detract from its charm at all! With just over 3,800 of these fiberglass-bodied beauties produced, Don’s ’63 is a rare bird indeed. You can check out more photos and read an expanded story in Buffalo Cars Magazine.
