Odds are this 1954 Chevrolet started out life as a pickup truck. Odds are also that it didn’t leave the factory painted this color. The grille may have been painted body-color, as seen here, but the bumper was likely painted Ivory (although after a Google search, you’d think they were all equipped with the optional chrome unit). The 1954 models were the last from Chevy/GMC to come with running boards, and the first to offer a four-speed hydra-matic transmission. Saw this one last summer on Grand Island.
