We came across this Lincoln Continental Mark V (c1977) earlier this summer in Irving. It’s wearing a tag from Hartley Ford, a now-defunct dealership in Fredonia. The Mark V was pretty big for a two-door car which held only five people. But it held those five people in the lap of luxury, as buyers had the option to choose an option package bearing the name of world-famous designers Givenchy, Bill Blass, or Cartier. Or maybe they preferred to just go with the classy-sounding Majestic Velour Luxury Group, or perhaps something along the lines of the Gold/Cream Luxury Group, which featured a lavish interior trimmed in your choice of gold and cream leather with vinyl, or gold Romano velour. All very uptown!
