RealRides of WNY - 1975 Buick LeSabre

Not often you run across a 1975 Buick LeSabre Custom convertible out on the road these days — it was the final year for the full-sized Buick drop-top, and only 5,300 of them were produced. Its starting MSRP of $5,133 translates to $23,305 in 2018 dollars. Buick seemed to know the end was in sight, as in their brochure, under the photo of a dark green convertible, they told us There are only six convertibles built in America. The LeSabre Custom is an excellent example.” The other five were: Pontiac Grand Ville Brougham, Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale, Cadillac Eldorado, and Chevrolet Caprice Classic and Corvette Sting Ray — all manufactured by General Motors. Saw this red LeSabre over the summer in Amherst.
